This is now the 7th year that Dior Betts (7th grade @ Colerain Middle School) & Simeon Betts (5th grade @ Colerain Elementary School) have had the honor of carrying the banner for the City of Cincinnati's MLK Day March.  Their photo is attached (credit to the Cincinnati Enquirer for the photo).                                                                                                Here is some positive news from around NWLSD this week If you see positive news stories occurring, take a picture and send a short blurb about the event to Dustin Gehring @ dgehring@nwlsd.org Weigel Elem Congratulations to Ann Weigel Elementary Principal Lori Riehle on being named  UC Economics Department Principal of the Year!  There was a BUZZ in the on January 10th, as we hosted Weigel's Annual Spelling Bee for the 23rd consecutive year!  Forty students were chosen to represent the 4th and 5th grades at our elementary school.  Family and friends gathered together to support these young o-r-t-h-o-g-r-a-p-h-e-r-s (spellers) in their quest for the Spelling Bee Championship.  Eight rounds later, two fifth graders went head-to-head to see who could outlast the other!  In the end, there is only one School Champion.  Daniel Graber was the Runner-Up to Gabe Gaither, who
