A big SHOUT OUT and  congratulations to the fine musicians that represented PRMS with PRIDE!
These 5 students were selected to participate in the 2018 OMEA Junior High Honors Orchestra! Outstanding strings players from the District 14 area middle schools were selected by their directors to represent their school in a weekend of rigorous, exciting music making.  This year the event took place at Princeton High School’s Matthews Auditorium on January 19th & 20th. Under the direction of guest conductor Patrick Pearson, our students experienced a top-quality rehearsal and performance.
The program included: Engines of Resistance, The Legend of Duffy’s Cut, Medieval Legend, Canon in B Muse, and Egmont Overture.
Pleasant Run Middle School Musicians:
Francis Bungabong - Violin 1
Aubri Jones - Violin 2
Lindsey Rohrig - Cello

WOMS
Students had the opportunity to compete at the regional BPA middle and high school competitions over the past 2 weeks.  Over 400 students competed from around our local region for an opportunity to make it to the State BPA competition.

What is BPA?
BPA is a co-curricular organization that students have the opportunity to participate in when they are in a Butler Tech program.  Dedicated to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills, Business Professionals of America is the premier co-curricular CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) providing programs in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.  With more than 45,000 members located throughout 25 states and Puerto Rico, Business Professionals of America serves secondary, post-secondary and middle levels and has the ability to enhance student participation in professional, civic, service and social endeavors. Through BPA, members learn how to go from student to professional in knowledge, skill and ability.

Students who made the top 2 in an individual event or top 1 in a team event will move onto state competition.  This will take place for middle school on Thursday, March 8th in Columbus Ohio.  They will then compete against students from across the state of Ohio in like competitions.

WOMS has 16 students making it to state! Way to go Warriors!!
