CHS

This past Thursday, Colerain High School had a "Walk of Champions" for Senior golfer, state-bound, Alex Schutte!
Some highlights of Alex's season:
- She is the first CHS female golfer to qualify for the state tournament since 2006, when then Freshman Kari Hogeback went to state and finished in 8th place overall
- Alex is one of 72 finalists in the state of Ohio for Division 1 golf (quite a feat!)

- Alex shot her lowest round ever at Glenview Golf Course last Tuesday during the District Championships (an 81), to tie for third place - which forced a one-hole playoff with her opponent from Lebanon
- Alex was a 2nd team all-league performer this year as a Senior, and a 1st team all-league performer as a Junior

Congratulations Alex and Coach T!

PRMS

Pleasant Run Middle PTA is working in conjunction with the school art club, student council, and staff to gear up to host our second annual Empty Bowls service project to raise money for Mt. Healthy Alliance and Corpus Chisti Food Banks. The Art Club and staff have been busy crafting ceramics bowls that will be painted starting later this week. Student Council is in charge of publicity and will be making informational posters and a video to share with all PRMS homerooms on October 9th.

Our service project will be held on Tuesday, November 13th from 6:00 - 7:30 at Rolling Hills Baptist Church located at 5742  Pleasant Ave. Fairfield, Ohio

Cost per pre-sale ticket is $5 and can be purchased at PRMS on November 7, 8, and 9th or by contacting Wendy Puccini at wpuccini3@yahoo.com. Cost at the door is $10. Donations are also accepted. The church will be providing a meal of homemade soups, salads, and homemade desserts. Each person will get to choose a handcrafted,  empty bowl on the evening of our event to remind them that there are people in our area who are hungry.

Last year we donated $860.00. Please help us reach our goal of $1000.00 by supporting our project.

HELC

HELC's Related Service Staff, Kathy Vogt, Linda Carnes, and Lindsey Mullins presented Audrey Woods, Quick as a Cricket,  to all preschool students.
Many exploratory literary based stations were developed to enhance the preschoolers' comprehension, vocabulary, and sequencing of events, as depicted in Quick as a Cricket.

A special thank you to Kathy Vogt, Linda Carnes, and Lindsey Mullins for dedicating their time and talents to the importance of literacy.
